At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thu Phong, Vice President of Vietnam Association of Architects gave a speech about the importance of establishing the Vietnam Society of Landscape Architect and launching the official executive committee of the Vietnam Society of Landscape Architect for the 2020-2025 term includes:

1.PhD. Arch. Pham Anh Tuan – Chairman.

2.M. Arch. Thai Lan Anh – Vice President.

3.Arch. Nguyen Thai Thuat Hien – Vice President.

4.M. Arch. Tran Hoang Hai Nam – Committee member.

5.PhD. Arch. Pham Thi Ai Thuy – Committee member.

Speaking at the ceremony, PhD. Arch. Pham Tuan Anh – Chairman expressed his joy, he emphasized “Hopefully the establishment of the Society of Landscape Architect under the direction of the Vietnam Association of Architects will contribute to spreading, making more meaningful and practical contributions to Vietnamese Architecture and through practical activities will convey the message of Landscape Architecture officially and have a more positive impact to the social community” and at the same time he sent sincere thanks to the delegates, guests, sponsors, media firms and organizations for taking the time to attend and facilitate the organization. The launching ceremony of the Society of Landscape Architect was successful.

At the Launching Ceremony, PhD. Arch. Pham Anh Tuan also read the report on the reason for the establishment of the Society and summarized the orientation of the Vietnam Society of Landscape Architect for the term 2021-2025, including the following 5 main groups of activities:

• Community activities: Connecting, building, and expanding member network, visiting, training and exchanging learning, creating and developing a system of Landscape Architecture Awards
• Professional activities: Organizing exhibitions, thematic talks, seminars in each topic group on the professional field towards the participation, connection and sharing of investors and designers, and supplier of landscaping supplies, materials, equipment and technology. Building scholarship fund, reward fund.
• Training activities: Promoting and connecting more effectively the institutions with investors, consulting agencies of landscape design and planning, and contractors. Creating favorable environments for students to have more exposure to the field of Landscape Architecture, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive training for students. Giving the chance of academic, cultural, and sports exchange between lecturers and students.
• International cooperation: Connecting and sharing experiences in the study and practice of Landscape Architecture. Joining and becoming an official member of the International Federation of Landscape Architects – Asian Pacific Region (IFLA APR).
• Expansion: Carrying out continuously the procedures for admission of new members according to the Charter of the Vietnam Association of Architects and creating conditions and foundations for other members who wish to join our association.

At the ceremony, Chairman of Vietnam Committee on Young Landscape Architects, Mr. Nguyen Thai Thuat Hien read the announcement to launch the logo design contest celebrating the establishment of the Vietnam Society of Landscape Architects..

Also at this ceremony, businesses, affiliates, businesses in landscape architecture in particular, construction, and architecture in general also had the opportunity to share, exchange experiences, ideas, and suggestions contributing to building, and developing cooperation potentials between businesses and the Association.

Hopefully, with a long-term vision and long-term development strategy, the launch of the Vietnam Society of Landscape Architects will contribute to promoting the next stage of development of the landscape industry community in particular, comprehensive development of the field of architecture and construction in general.
